TC1000 is a fiberglass-reinforced ceramifiable silicone rubber composite tape, purpose-built to replace mica and protect against thermal runaway in EV and battery systems. It provides insulation and elasticity in normal use, then transforms its silicone layer into a ceramic-like protective barrier in a fire — without the cracking, flying powder and delamination that limit mica.
